Everything you might want to ask
Honest answers, not marketing. If something here is unclear, ask us directly.
Where do you collect from?
Both sides of the water. In Northern Ireland, every BT postcode from BT1 to BT94: Belfast, Derry, Newry, Enniskillen, Coleraine, Bangor, every town and village. In GB, all 117 postcode areas across England, Scotland and Wales, each on its scheduled weekly collection day.
Where do you deliver to?
Both directions. Moves from Northern Ireland deliver anywhere on the GB mainland (England, Scotland and Wales). Moves from GB deliver anywhere in Northern Ireland, BT1 to BT94. We do not serve the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, or the Western/Northern Isles by default; those are quote-on-request.
How often do you run from Belfast to GB?
Weekly, in both directions. The consolidated load runs Belfast to GB and GB to Belfast every week.
Is this a marketplace or are you the actual movers?
We are the actual movers. NI collection is by our Belfast partner team, GB delivery is by our own lorries and crews. We do not sub-contract to gig drivers.
How much does it cost?
See our pricing page — single items from £98 a 2-bed home from £1,698. Every quote is fixed and includes door-to-door, insurance, and the materials.
How do I get a quote?
Use the quote form. Tell us your collection postcode, delivery postcode, what you are moving, and ideally upload photos. We email a fixed price within 2 working hours.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. No card details required and no obligation.
Is the quote a deposit or the full price?
The full price. Payment is taken on collection day, not at quote stage.
How long does the whole move take?
From collection day at your NI door to delivery at your GB door: typically 3–5 working days. Faster for Liverpool/Manchester, slower for Cornwall and the Highlands (3–4 days).
Can you do it faster than weekly?
Yes — dedicated van skipping the weekly lorry. Adds £800–£1,800 depending on destination.
What if my completion date moves?
Free re-schedule up to 7 days before collection. £49 fee inside 7 days.
Do you really collect from rural NI postcodes for the same price?
Yes. We do not surcharge by postcode within NI.
Do you bring boxes and materials?
Yes — included. Tell us at quote stage how many boxes you will need so we bring enough.
Will the crew pack for me?
Yes if you want — option on the quote, £298–£898 depending on house size. Or self-pack and save.
Is there storage between collection and delivery?
Yes — free first 7 days at our Belfast warehouse. Beyond that, £15 per week per cubic metre.
Do you reassemble furniture?
Yes — beds, wardrobes, dining tables. Included for items you collected dismantled; £20–£40 per item for items we dismantled at collection.
Are my items insured?
Yes — £25,000 goods-in-transit cover included with every move. Optional uplift to £100k or higher available.
Do you take pianos?
No — see our sister site pianorecycling.co.uk for collection and pianostorage.co.uk for storage.
Motorbikes and scooters?
Once our motorbike brand is live, those go via bladespeed.com. For now, ask us — case-by-case.
When do I pay?
On collection day. Card or bank transfer.
Are you VAT-registered?
Yes. Quotes include VAT unless stated.
Moving to Northern Ireland (GB → NI)
We carry moves in both directions. Heading over the water? Start with removals to Northern Ireland, check your weekly slot on the GB collection days page, or see personal effects for boxes-only shipments.
What day do you collect in England, Scotland or Wales?
Every GB postcode area has one scheduled collection day each week, the same day every week, across all 117 areas. Collection on your area's day is the standard price. Need a different day? Off-schedule collections are possible at a premium — ask on the quote form. Find your day on our GB collection days page.
Do I need customs paperwork to move from GB to Northern Ireland?
No. Your own household goods and personal belongings move within the UK — no customs declarations, duties or paperwork for a domestic house move from GB to Northern Ireland.
How long does a GB to Northern Ireland move take?
Typically 5–10 working days door-to-door, confirmed on your quote. We collect on your postcode area's scheduled day, your items travel on the weekly lorry to our Belfast warehouse, and our Belfast team then arranges your delivery slot anywhere in BT1–BT94.
Can I send just boxes to Northern Ireland?
Yes. Boxes-only shipments are our personal effects service, from £198 for 2–5 boxes. You only pay for the space you use on the weekly lorry, and the same door-to-door collection, delivery and insurance apply.
Why won't parcel couriers take my boxes to Northern Ireland?
Many GB parcel networks now restrict or refuse Northern Ireland shipments, or add surcharges and checks they do not apply to mainland addresses. We run our own weekly lorry to Belfast, so boxes, keepsakes and part-loads travel door-to-door with none of the parcel-network restrictions.
Is the price the same in both directions?
Yes. The lorry runs both ways every week, so a GB to NI load fills space that would otherwise cross empty. That backload economics is why our price anchors are identical in both directions: personal effects from £198 a 2-bed home from £1,698.
